This ddrum snare features a 9mm slab of solid Canadian maple that is steam bent and fused at the joint to make a solid shell. Additional 9mm solid sections are added to the "reinforcement" sections (making the shell nearly an inch thick at the bearing edges) to provide extra tonal support. The outer shell is hand stained in a multi-coloured pattern to emphasize the exotic "zebra stripe" grain of the outer shell. Dios Series drums utilize exotic woods, as well as the industry standards. Accented further with ddrum bullet tube lugs, die-cast hoops, Dios Series snare drums reflect ddrum's attention to quality.

Dios Series drums utilize exotic woods, as well as the industry standards. The Dios Duplex snare has taken drum building to a new level! This unique 17 ply shell is hand built, and consists of 7 outer ply's, 6 hollow ply's, and 4 inner ply's. This process creates a tone chamber never before achieved by any other snare on the market. The outer and inner plies are supported in the hollow chamber by a 6 ply 1 inch tall support ring, placed at either bearing edge. This creates the chamber and brings the two sections together, creating 17 plys at either bearing edge. Accented further with ddrum satin bullet tube lugs, die-cast hoops, and matching wooden grommet, this snare has no equal. A drum that you will not forget once you hear it!
